April 16, is when you can catch the fourth instalment of the hugely successful movie franchise entitled Fast & Furious in Australia.
It’s been eight long years since the release of the original movie, The Fast and the Furious which boosted the relatively unknown actors, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker into semi-stardom.

The US$30 million movie went on to gross a massive US$207 million at the worldwide box office and that was up against Jurassic Park 3 and The Mummy Returns.
Not bad for a movie inspired by a Vibe magazine article about underground street racing in Los Angeles.

Although 2 Fast 2 Furious banked more than its predecessor, grossing over US$237 million, the third film The Fast and the Furious – Tokyo Drift was a let down as far as box office receipts went, earning just US $158 million.

With all four stars of the original film back together on screen, Fast & Furious should be a sure fire hit and frankly, we can’t wait to see the cars in action, with that digital sound dialled up to max volume.

Best of all, the conclusion of new film is said to imply that a fifth instalment is planned for Europe but in true Vin Diesel style the word is: ‘You know my process is script first’.
